President Jair Bolsonaro (without a party) said on Wednesday (5/5) that he intends to receive Robson Oliveira, a Brazilian who was detained in Russia and returns today to Brazil, at the airport of Galeão (RJ). Robson was a driver for soccer player Fernando, currently in Beijing Guoan, China.
Bolsonaro cited the episode that guaranteed Robson’s pardon and his return to Brazil as a demonstration of Brazil’s good foreign relations.
“We talked with the Russian government, with the ambassador, I had a video conference with President Putin, which I thank for his signed act of grandeur. He granted pardon to this stranger, to this poor, black, driver, the result of communications work and a good relationship, which started with Ernesto Araújo, who is no longer our minister, and which continued with the minister [Carlos Alberto Franco] France ”.
After visiting the Brazilian Embassy in Russia, Robson will disembark at around 7:30 pm (from Brasília) at Tom Jobim International Airport, in Rio de Janeiro.
Bolsonaro said that as he is in Rio de Janeiro today, he will delay his return to give Robson a hug.

The driver claimed that the remedies would be for Fernando’s father-in-law, William Pereira de Faria. However, the family did not comment on the case, and Robson was eventually arrested.
The situation involving the driver has gained notoriety on social networks recently and the Justice by Robson campaign has arisen, which has even had requests for famous names in the national sport such as striker Richarlison, from Everton.
From then on, the case became a matter of negotiation between Brazil and Russia and had a solution this Sunday (2).
